Proud Member of TherapyDen

Hi, I’m LIsa.

Establishing an authentic connection built on warmth, trust, and support is always my starting point. Before methods, techniques, or theories, I believe the relationship comes first, and that therapy should be a space where you can show up as yourself and feel genuinely seen and understood. My approach is person-centered and collaborative, rooted in empathy, humor, and compassion, and shaped by each person’s individual needs and goals.

I strive to provide a space of acceptance where clients can openly explore challenges without judgment. From there, I see myself as a partner—collaborating, inspiring, and even playfully “conspiring” with clients to move beyond both current struggles and past obstacles.

When it comes to techniques, I draw from an integrative framework that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as Jungian, existential, family systems, and feminist perspectives. I also enjoy co-creating unique strategies based on these foundations, tailoring treatment to what resonates most with each person.

I came to this career later in life after working as a professional artist and illustrator, and I find that my creative background offers a fresh lens through which to view life and healing. My experiences as an artist, single mother of three boys, and caretaker to a lively household—including three dogs, three pigs, and colonies of bees—allow me to weave humor, humility, and experiential wisdom into my practice.

I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and adults through grief, anxiety, life transitions, family changes, motherhood, parenting, and the many challenges that come with growing up and finding our way through life. My goal is to create a space where humans of all ages feel seen, supported, and free to be themselves.
